For BUS528 (Professor Tao) 1st assignment:
My progect is development of NextGen data center router which as low power consumption for enviromental safty. I use off-the-shelf components to save development time and costs.
The system consist of 4 hardware modules, where are the configuration board, switch fablic module, linecard, and chassis. It's software has roughly 2 components, routing protocol application and diagnostics.
All of above entities have to be integrated in appropriate time frame, and tested. The milestones are Gaber release, Production, and General availability. All of them has to be realistic dates.
